Other palaeobotany and palynology meetings
This section of the IOP website is provided to highlight meetings with a palaeobotanical focus that may be of interest. To include details of meetings you would like added to this listing, please e-mail the site administrators with meeting details.
- 12th International Palynology Congress - Bonn 2008 (back-to-back meeting with IOP 2008)
- Integrating evolution and development of pollen and spores: new perspectives. This one day meeting is hosted by the Palynologist Specialist Gorup of the Linnean Society of London (Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, W1J 0BF) on 28 October 2007. The programme will continue to explore links between evolution and development in pollen and spores. Talks are welcome from scientists working in interfacing fields of pollen and spore morphology, development including genetic control, and evolution including the fossil record. Postgraduates and postdocs are especially welcome to present their work. We hope to further stimulate and enhance discussion between pollen morphologists, palaeobotanists and developmental geneticists towards common research goals. Registration is free. For further information contact the Carol Furness.
- Plant life through the ages (.pdf) jointly organised by the Palaeobotanical Society of India and the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, November 16-17th 2008.
