EGU General Assembly 2010
The EGU General Assembly 2010 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world into one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences. Especially for young scientists the EGU appeals to provide a forum to present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geosciences. The EGU is looking forward to cordially welcome you in Vienna!
Dates: Vienna, Austria, 02 – 07 May 2010

Example Talk: SSP4.2 Deep time terrestrial ecosystems (co-sponsored by PalAss)
Convener: Wolfram Kuerschner
Co-Conveners: Marco Vecoli , Darren Grocke , Robert Spicer
The aim of this session is to bring together palaeobiologists, geochemists and modellers from a variety of disciplines to promote a better understanding of the role and evolution of terrestrial ecosystems, their impact on the atmosphere, lithosphere and climate, and vice versa. We encourage workers from all disciplines analyzing the terrestrial (in)vertebrate and plant fossil record by means of palaeobiological or geochemical methods, and those involved primarily in terrestrial models. Submissions are asked from all geological time periods, including modern and recent systems. We also particularly want periods of major environmental change (C3/C4 plants) and biotic turnovers (mass extinctions).
